| The Supreme Court of South Carolina Commission on CLE and Specialization The South Carolina Supreme Court has notified the Commission and the Bar that Order 2021-03-31-01 dated March 31, 2021 waiving the requirement that SC Bar members must complete at least six of their 14 hours of mandatory continuing legal education in-person has expired. Similarly, Order 2021-05-05-01 waiving the requirement that newly admitted attorneys who must attend one of the Bars Essentials Series seminars may fulfill that requirement online has also been allowed to expire. Therefore, for the CLE compliance year 2022-2023 (March 1, 2022 February 28, 2023), six of the 14 required MCLE hours must be completed in-person, and newly admitted attorneys must attend one of the SC Bars Essentials Series seminars in-person.
